Initial Lactation Office Consultation

This visit lasts 60-90 minutes. A full medical history of the parent and baby is recorded. A breastfeeding-specific exam of lactating parent and assessment of the baby/babies is included. A pre-breastfeeding weight of your baby and a post-breastfeeding weight are included to evaluate adequate transfer of breast milk.

  • After discussing all options and goals, a plan is made together. The plan is holistic and judgment-free; a plan where parent and baby thrive.

  • This visit includes a week of follow-up emails and/or secure messaging.

  • Fee: $325

Follow-Up Lactation Office Consultation

Re-evaluation of lactation concerns and adjustment to the care plan. This visit lasts 60 minutes.

  • This visit includes a week of follow-up emails and/or secure messaging.

  • Fee: $250

Flange Fitting and Pump Office Consultation

Maximize your comfort, efficiency, and milk output with a proper flange fitting and pump evaluation.

  • This visit includes a week of follow-up emails and/or secure messaging.

  • Fee: $225

Prenatal Lactation Office Consultation

  • Comprehensive lactation education specific to your individual situation and medical history.

  • This visit includes a week of follow-up emails and/or secure messaging.

  • Fee: $225

Infant Craniosacral Therapy Office Visit

Gentle manual therapy for infants. Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. Please see “Craniosacral Page” for more information

  • Fee: $150

Fees and Insurance

  • All bookings require a credit card to hold your appointment. 

  • There is a cancellation fee for canceling less than 24 hours prior to your appointment

    For Self-pay clients:

    A detailed bill (Superbill) will be provided to you for submission to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A guarantee of insurance reimbursement is not possible. Please call your insurance provider for information.

    For Aetna clients:

  • Many Aetna plans cover 6 consults for lactation. Please call your insurance company for specific details on your plan.

  • We bill Aetna directly. 

  • If your baby is not covered by Aetna, an additional fee will apply.

  • While we are in-network with Aetna, and there is not supposed to be any cost-sharing, you will be charged for any cost-sharing that Aetna applies, even if it’s incorrect.

    For United HealthCare clients:

  • Only Cathy Walker is in-network with United HealthCare

  • Many United HealthCare plans provide unlimited visits. Please call your plan for specific information

  • Cathy Walker bills United HealthCare directly

  • If your baby is not covered by United HealthCare, an additional fee will apply.

  • While Cathy Walker is in-network with United HealthCare, and there is not supposed to be any cost-sharing, you will be charged for any cost-sharing that UHC applies, even if it’s incorrect
